To date, we have shipped nearly 400,000 books to almost as many happy customers. We do our best to provide reliable and economic shipping when you purchase books from us. Books are generally shipped in bubble lined manila mailers. When you order a hardback whose thickness approaches about 1 inch, we ship it in a fold-up box. 96% of the time everything goes as planned, and your package is delivered in a timely manner in undamaged condition.
We are unable to provide delivery of "pristine" condition books with our standard shipping methods. Both UPS and USPS handle books as bulk items, and slight damage is not uncommon. This is one of the risks or shopping by Internet mail order. Should you wish special handling, please contact us directly.

UPS and USPS have several different delivery requirements. UPS (United Parcel Service)WILL NOT deliver to PO Box(s). And the USPS (Unites States Postal Service) WILL NOT deliver to some street addresses that will UPS.
Unless you choose, USPS shipments are not insured, but insurance is available at an additional cost. UPS shipments are automatically insured for $100.00.

Standard delivery packages weighing greater than 1 pound are sent by one of these methods. Generally speaking both services are similar, however Bound Printed Matter seems to move through the system at a much faster rate because we "Pre-sort" BPMs so your package is sent directly to your zip code's distribution center in a bag containing other packages to that zone. No other processing of your package is required along the way. |

The transit times shown on the USPS Web site are quite optimistic. The USPS seems to handle these parcels when it does not have anything else to do. The noted methods can take up to 21 Business Days during busy times. In rare circumstances, even more. |

Shipping Policies:
Once you have placed your order with us there is no way for us to alter or cancel your order. When we receive your order we immediately forward it to the warehouse to pull, package, and ship the books. Your package is bundled with thousands of others awaiting postal pickup, and it is impossible to dig through to find your package. BE SURE YOUR INFORMATION IS CORRECT BEFORE YOU PLACE THE ORDER.
Your order will be shipped according to the method that you chose:
Media Mail averages 7-14 business day to arrive, however the United States Post Office states that media mail can take up to 5 weeks to arrive.
Priority Mail averages 2-3 business days to arrive. We send you a Delivery Confirmation Number that you can use on www.USPS.com to see if the Post Office has an updated location.
UPS Ground averages 2-5 business days to arrive. If you are using a PO Box then you should choose either USPS Priority or USPS Media Mail. We send you a Tracking Number that you can use at www.UPS.com.
UPS Overnight arrives the next business day if ordered BEFORE 10:00 am EST. If you order after 10:00 am EST your package will not arrive until the 2nd business day.
